School receives Defibrillator

In addition to the £2,700 children raised by sponsorship for the Green Park Challenge (which has been given to the Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service), Aldryngton also received an additional £300 for being the highest placed school. This money has been added to the £700 raised by the staff of Lloyds Bank in Woodley to provide the school with a new piece of first aid equipment – a portable defibrillator – a device which gives a casualty a shock when the heart has stopped. Members of the school staff have already received training in using the new defibrillator which will be kept near the school office.
